The Pin Marten lives amongst the pine forests feeding on small rodents, squirrels, birds, insects, seeds and fruit. During the summer time blaeberry can make up to 30% of their summer diet and can be found playing around fallen logs.
 
The Pine Marten is protected in the UK under the Wildlife and Countryside Act, 1981.
